CRM & data integration

Send form responses to Salesforce

SA

Connect your Salesforce org with credentials you control and each submission becomes a record in the object you choose, mapped from your question labels.

What the Salesforce integration does

  • Uses your org's own credentials — nothing is proxied through a shared HelloForms app.
  • Answers map onto the fields you name, so custom fields are supported.
  • Failures surface with the Salesforce error message instead of disappearing.

What it looks like

A Salesforce record in your chosen object with mapped field values.

How to connect Salesforce to your form

  1. 1

In Salesforce, create a connected app with the api and refresh_token scopes.

  2. 2

Complete the OAuth flow once to obtain a refresh token for the user the records should belong to.

  3. 3

Paste the client id, client secret and refresh token as JSON below.

  4. 4

Pick the record type and map your question labels to field API names, then send a test event.

What you’ll need

  • Connected-app credentials (JSON).
  • Record type (optional) — Any API name: Lead, Contact, Case or MyObject__c. Defaults to Lead.
  • Field mapping (optional) — Question label = Salesforce field API name, comma separated. Unmapped answers use our best guess.
  • Login host (optional) — Use https://test.salesforce.com for a sandbox.

Credentials are stored server-side and never rendered in your published form. Every delivery attempt is logged, transient failures are retried with backoff, and repeated failures disable the destination instead of retrying forever.

Who uses it

  • Enterprise sales teams that must land every inbound lead in Salesforce.
  • Partner or supplier onboarding forms feeding an existing pipeline.
  • Regulated teams that need the CRM, not a spreadsheet, as the record of truth.
