How do I connect HelloForms to Discord?

In Discord, open Channel settings → Integrations → Webhooks → New webhook. Copy the webhook URL and paste it below. You can do the whole thing from the form's Integrations tab — no code and no developer account required.

What do I need before I start?

You need a Discord webhook URL on discord.com or discordapp.com. Everything else is configured in HelloForms.

What does Discord receive for each submission?

A Discord embed whose fields are the questions you chose to include. You choose which questions are included, so fields you would rather keep private never leave HelloForms.

Is the Discord integration available on the free plan?

Yes. Delivery destinations are part of the product rather than a paid add-on, so you can connect and test one on a free form before upgrading.

What happens if a delivery to Discord fails?

Transient failures are retried automatically with exponential backoff, and every attempt is written to the delivery log with the status code and the response body the provider returned. Repeated hard failures disable the destination instead of retrying forever, and you can retry a specific submission from the response.

Where are my credentials stored?

Webhook URLs are stored server-side, are never rendered in your published form, and are shown masked in the dashboard. Delivery happens from the server, so nothing is exposed to respondents.

Can I reuse the same Discord connection on other forms?

Yes. Save it as an account-level connection once and pick it from the credentials selector when you add the destination to another form — you never re-enter the token.

Does this need a Discord bot?

No. It uses a channel webhook created in Channel Settings → Integrations, so there is no bot to host and no extra permissions to grant.
