How do I connect HelloForms to Twilio SMS?

In the Twilio console, copy your Account SID and auth token. Add the Twilio number that should send the text and the number that should receive it. Send a test event to confirm the message arrives. You can do the whole thing from the form's Integrations tab — no code and no developer account required.

What do I need before I start?

You need twilio auth token, account sid, from number, send to. Everything else is configured in HelloForms.

What does Twilio SMS receive for each submission?

An SMS from your Twilio number containing a short summary of the submission. You choose which questions are included, so fields you would rather keep private never leave HelloForms.

Is the Twilio SMS integration available on the free plan?

Yes. Delivery destinations are part of the product rather than a paid add-on, so you can connect and test one on a free form before upgrading.

What happens if a delivery to Twilio SMS fails?

Transient failures are retried automatically with exponential backoff, and every attempt is written to the delivery log with the status code and the response body the provider returned. Repeated hard failures disable the destination instead of retrying forever, and you can retry a specific submission from the response.

Where are my credentials stored?

Tokens and secrets are stored server-side, are never rendered in your published form, and are shown masked in the dashboard. Delivery happens from the server, so nothing is exposed to respondents.

Can I reuse the same Twilio SMS connection on other forms?

Yes. Save it as an account-level connection once and pick it from the credentials selector when you add the destination to another form — you never re-enter the token.
