About this template

Contract cleaning is judged on audits, and this inspection checklist gives supervisors a consistent scoring sheet they can complete on a phone while walking the site. It records the site, the inspector, the date and time, the cleaning operative or team responsible, and the shift being inspected. Each area is then scored on the same scale — washrooms, kitchens and break areas, offices and desks, floors and entrances, stairwells, meeting rooms, waste and recycling, and external areas — with a pass, minor issue or fail rating and space for a note. Consumables checks cover soap, paper, bin liners and sanitiser stock, because a spotless washroom with no towels still fails. Any fail rating opens a required corrective action box with a deadline and an owner, so the audit produces work rather than a score. Photographs can be attached to individual failures as evidence. The inspector signs off and the completed audit becomes a dated record you can show a client at contract review.

Frequently asked questions

Can I score against my own contract areas?
Yes — rename or add area questions so the checklist mirrors the specification in your client contract.
Does it produce a client-ready report?
Each inspection exports as a branded PDF with scores, notes and photographs attached.
Can I track scores over time?
Ratings are structured answers, so the analytics view charts pass rates by area and by site across months.
Does it work offline on site?
Complete it on a phone with a normal connection; for weak-signal basements, fill it in immediately after the walk.
